The writer/critic Anahí Arana needed a robust and extremely flexible platform for her new website, and wanted an attractive, eye-catching and unconventional look to go along with it.
We worked closely together to develop the site from concept to launch, finding its look and communicating its identity with the use of bold colors, modern fonts on top of a clear, attractive grid-based structure.
Shoot the Critic needed to make complex contextual and semantic relationships between items of content, so I decided to eschew general solutions like WordPress in favor of writing the application from its foundation using CodeIgniter, a framework I’ve grown to love for its speed, simplicity and flexibility.
